Taobao Haul Oct / Nov 2014

Oh lordy, where do I begin?

Well, I guess the primary goal of this haul was to get some nail tattoos that I could use for more mature looks and the trending styles right now.

And then it somehow snowballed into a haul.

Well, without further ado, here are all the things I purchased in this round. I honestly don't have the brain capacity to write anything else right now, literally so exhausted from unpacking everything and applying the various laptop things to my laptop. So I hope you enjoy the images!

Just a quite note, the purchases are sectioned into Nail Deco, Tech Deco, and Fashion.

Nail Deco

I had a bunch sponsored by Born Pretty Store a short while back and loved them!

Absolutely beautiful, If I just learn how to apply them with acrylic....

I got multiples of some of the floral designs I thought I might use more often too. They're just so irresistibly pretty!!!

Stocked up on cases. I know I will be getting more deco stuff so why not haha

Tech Deco

Thinking of using this one first since the strawberries go with my current screensaver ^^

I am super paranoid about scratching my new laptop - and for good reason. Not only am I super clumsy but my nails.....the risk is just too high hahaha

Unfortunately the keypad cover isn't actually this pastel T_T

And the laptop cover isn't all that nice either. Looks really cheap tbh :/

THIS was cute. Super happy with this purchase. 

Although something like a Ma*rs or Princess Melody print would be nicer..... I just find it weird having like a 'person' on your laptop? unless it's the mega otaku full body waifu kind of sticker. That I can understand.

Fashion

The sleeves on that top really are a little too much. I think it would've been cute enough with just like a fluffy or lace cuff sort of thing instead of the princess sleeve thing ><

11.11 Taobao Shopping

My final exam is finally in sight: 9am tomorrow.

Since I foresee a long night of cramming ahead, I may as well get some blogging done before I crack down on the work hehe


Many of you probably know about Taobao, and its infamous 11.11 sale.

TBH, I didn't think it was a big deal, until one of my friends WeChat me crying about how he couldn't participate because he had exams, and then I came home to a fellow gaijin gyaru being sad over how she wasn't prepared for it.

So then I thought, well, why not check it out?


I usually am really picky about what I buy - always cheap, and rarely anything thats quality > quantity/price.

That's how I can buy more on a student budget right? haha

Anyway, since 11.11 is rumored to be huge sales and stuff, I thought it would be a good chance to shop for more 'quality' than 'quantity'.

I ended up buying two dresses for my mom and I. The print was irresistible.

And for the non 11.11 stuff... well I wanted to buy them anyway, so I might as well get them in the same batch since I don't think they'll ever go on sale.

The power button looks difficult to reach and that mouse is gonna snap off any moment but hey who cares; it's only about the price of a coffee! (YASSSSSSS)

Buying lots of necklace accessories because I quite prefer my work wardrobe to be simple.

I used to wonder what the 'Chinese' style was, since Korean and Japanese styles were so very different. I think the Chinese style is just (badly put) 'rich'. Everything on taobao that is '时尚' (stylish) is advertised with some kind of international-brand logo, and the clothes for people about my age are always very chic and business-woman or bordering on sexy, but still with that kinda feel.

It's kinda hard to describe. But i like the style for workwear.

Tokyo Kawaii Life July Secret Sale Haul!

I was really mad at myself after coming back from Japan, for buying a bodyline dress instead of stocking more Liz Lisa (or checking out sales on lolita brands QAQ). In fact, I haven't even had the chance to wear my bodyline dress yet!

I bought a dress and a top at the Liz Lisa 109 store, both were bought very quickly but I still super super love them to this day! But anyway, moving on because this post isn't about what I bought in Japan hehe :P

I was going to place an order for the items I wanted at 20% off, but then I thought I'd try my luck with their secret shop sale. The Buy 2+ and get 60% off your order deal is too good to pass QAQ

Unfortunately I only jumped on it on Saturday, and of course by then, heaps of stuff had already sold out. The pair of shoes I wanted the most was down to the last size and color too! Thankfully I snagged one in time though~! So glad I tried for the secret sale, because I saved a lot of money! Well I saved them from the items I wanted, and then proceeded to spend them buying more items LOL but that's ok xD

To enter the secret sale, you need an account on Tokyo Kawaii Life which took me a couple of minutes to set up. Since I had an existing Tenso account, I had a shipping address ready for use. I think you must set up an address to start using the account?

The last dress is actually from the outlet, not the secret sale. It was so cheap anyway that it didn't matter lol. Also that dress is Penderie, and everything else is Liz Lisa.

There were also some other cute items I really wanted, but was too late to buy T_T they're sitting in my wishlist right now, but I don't think I'll ever get them. The stock status says they're sold out :'(

Similar design to the shoes I bought, but the pink seems to be more pink o.O anyway it's cute!

Now that I look back on what I bought, only 2 items were things I always wanted. I actually just wanted to buy dresses but somehow ended up with all sorts of random stuff lol. I'm still pretty sad that I won't get the dresses in my wishlist, they're just so beautiful QAQ

Everything is going to take a few days to arrive at Tenso, then comes the dreaded international shipping lol. I think the package will be around 4kg, and Tenso shipping is nowhere near as cheap as the shipping service I use for taobao...><

Hopefully everything will arrive mid/late August, just in time for spring in NZ! Yay!!~
edit: I may put up a post when all my items have arrived, but I don't have a mannequin and I suck at layouts and I just feel like my outfit photo quality is shoddy so I may not. I'll see ><

Now, my broke ass needs to get back to work. Uni work calls!
