Recently I've been on a singing streak, going ktv at least once every weekend @_@
Perhaps it's because I hardly went ktv at all last year, so this year I'm catching up? lol at least my throat hasn't started hurting!
Last weekend I was taking photos for some reviews, so I brought along my DSLR and took some photos with my girls. Silly me hadn't charged the battery in at least a fortnight, so I didn't get many photos :'(
I took out the drunk looking selfies - even though no-one was actually drunk. It's just lovely how my DSLR is so great at taking photos when people are half-blinking LOL.
I haven't gone out with my high school girls in at least a couple months. In fact we rarely meet up during the year because they're so hardout at uni, studying in the library (or hermit-ing in the architecture building) from morning to night and only leaving for classes ==
And also, some aren't even in the city during the year :'(
One of these girls is going back down to Dunedin on Saturday, so we're seeing her off with some dessert at Milse where I once binged at for the sake of reviewing. #bloggerexcuses
I ALMOST FORGOT! It's Chinese New Year's Eve today! Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Have a great year of the horse! ^^

OMG today is so weird. This is my 3rd post on snowrii no sekai, and I am in the process of typing a second for Confetti as well wtf!?
codes are right under the cut because the post is like, 10 pages long .-.
Anyway, so I think I mentioned it before in some post a while back (sometime this month lol. Not that far back)- I used to play PWI (Perfect World International)
I actually clocked an insane amount of hours both day and night on it while I was in Canada, which is quite a waste of time I know, but on the other hand it got the gamer out of my system for which I am quite thankful. I truly don't have time to waste on endless games anymore ><
Anyway, since I have moved on from PWI, I thought I'd share my custom character codes with everyone- or anyone that still plays and wants a custom character, but cbf spending *2 hrs+* playing around with settings.
Personally, that is pretty much the only thing I like to do in games anymore. Yup, make the character look pretty .-.
I found the code for 3 characters, I also had a fourth one but I don't think I customised it and i cbf downloading the client again to fish it out.
The classes I played were: Mystic, Psychic, Seeker, Cleric, and Venomancer (this is the one I don't think I customised, but don't take my word on it). I may have played some other classes too, but I usually stick to the magic type classes so I think these are what I played.
I'm putting it there because, if you've tried customising before you will realise that the features available (ie. eyes, nose) for each class are different. So with the following 3 sets of codes, I don't remember which character was which class so just try them and if it looks nice then it fits xD
Tip: It may help to see if there are any glitches on the rendering. I often set things like chin and hair to just before it starts showing holes, so if it has problems then it's probably the wrong class.
codes are right under the cut because the post is like, 10 pages long .-.
So I am currently googling (yet again) any fukubukuro opening posts that have been blogged since I last checked, perhaps 2 seconds ago.
Jokes, I've been staying off that for at least a week already.
Anywho, I don't usually click the LL posts because let's face it-why read the blog post when we already know what's in the fukubukuro? I really want to see the mystery items!
HOWEVER this one blog post on the LL x Melody collab fukubukuro caught my eye. I didn't realise there was a Melody collab bag!?
and oh.my.god. the contents of the bag are SO CUTE
I have renewed faith in Liz Lisa.
Also, I found the blue luggage carry while hunting for the LL x Melody collab AND IT IS SO CUTE TOO AFIOAWEFNAWFKLWAELWFKA
20,000!? SO WORTH IT. Ok plus shipping, it's probably around 30,000 but STILL. The items are so cute I can't even. T^T
Let me just sob my eyes out at these adorable sets I missed.

Yesterday (the last monday of January?) is the annual Auckland Anniversary Day.
I stupidly thought that there would be no-one out on this day, and requested to do my photoshoot for PretzelPOP magazine at the beautiful and new(ish) Silo Park in downtown Auckland. It's a perfect location for the style of photos I wanted-
note: all taken off my pinterest board
But no. Silly me didn't realise ahead of time that Silo Park, the prettiest and most tourist-attracting place in town would be the prime location for hosting Auckland's anniversary festival.
Sometimes I feel like my brain is floating in some other dimension :/
Anyhow, my photographer yesterday (Anniv. Day) is from our uni photography club. It was the first time I got to work with someone from our uni, and omg the shoot was so fast. Like, is this how it should be? 'Cause I'm totally loving it >0<!! Plus, the photos came out suuuuuper nice. I've only seen them on the camera, at the shoot, but I bet when they've been processed they will be absolutely stunning eep!
Like, I kid you not, I felt like i was on one of these spreads:
*Sobs in happiness*
The photos may not be out for a while. They will come out on PretzelPOP first since I don't want to ruin the surprise of magazine spreads before the first issue comes out, but I will be blogging up any extra photos from the shoot ^^
SO MUCH HAPPINESS!!
Oh and new CLs for 2014 have been opened! Tried my first pair for this shoot. Reviews for these lenses will be out after my 2013 lens roundup :)

These past few weeks have been an interesting experience. Since December, I've been working full time, and I am currently still working at the same place.
Every week, it's been working, coming home, showering, cooking, eating and then spending the night on facebook chatting till the early mornings, waking up tired, then back to working. Every weekend, it's been going out late - even when I don't plan to go out! and then sleeping in...
I really should be enjoying this time of my life when i can go out, and not feel bad for spending all this money, and just partying away, but it feels like such a waste of time and resources.
Yesterday, I started reading manga again. It's funny how I got back into it actually. I was discussing books with a friend, then it went on to how terrible 50 shades is, and then I remembered this (warning: very fan-servicy) manga I started reading last year, or the year before.
It's a very unique manga, and I doubt any other artists are writing stories on a fetish theme (S&M), yet with such a pure underlying romantic plotline. If you want the title, just ask me. It's actually a pretty popular manga judging by the views, and the fans are very loyal - myself included!
Anyway, once I finished catching up on that manga, I started going through the other manga I bookmarked. Yes, I have a bookmark folder of manga I'm in the midst of reading...
Today is the second evening I have spent reading manga, and I'm not even a third of the way through the list. Today I read an omake from Cousin, Love So Life, and Watashi ni XX Shinasai, and I am currently making my way through Taiyou no Ie which I had bookmarked, but not started.
Point is, reading all these manga today, I feel like I haven't changed much, since the start of uni, or even back in yr9. I'm still reading shoujo manga, with bittersweet plotline developments that make my heart go waku waku... Like, why am I still reading all these manga? It's painful, yet at the same time it's so addicting. Somehow, I get some kind of satisfaction reading these stories, and sobbing my eyes out, and virtually stabbing my heart out. I kid you not, these stories are sometimes so painful, like, don't underestimate manga. lol.
At least I know I'm not the only one hooked on these, since there's clearly enough of a market for these manga to be published?
Anyway, when I take a step back and analyse the situation objectively, I guess it is easier to just go with stories, and experience these heart-wrenching feelings of the protagonist and the happy and sad moments of the story from her POV. And then I can just let go of it afterwards and continue on with my life. Which, by the way, seems so much more bland, and un-captivating in comparison.
But that's also a little sad.
#otakuforever
Oh also, if there are any bittersweet manga you can recommend, please do comment. I am always on the hunt for good manga ;w;

Counting by days, we're only 2/3 through. But I've been counting in weekends since I started work, because that is the only time I'm home. There's only one weekend left before the end of January, and somehow that doesn't seem like nearly enough time to get done all the things I want to do!
This past weekend was yet again, spent going out till late, getting home late, and then sleeping till the afternoon. It's not what I wanted for this year to be like, but somehow I've been in this cycle for the past several weeks. Literally going out Friday and Saturday nights, and sleeping in the rest of the time. :(
On the bright side, I got to watch The Secret Life of Walter Mitty! I saw the trailer last month at another movie, and it seemed like a really adventurous story so I convinced my mom to go with me on Friday. The movie is everything I thought it would be, and I'm really glad I chose to watch it on the big screen instead of *getting it off a friend*. We ended the night by singing ktv till 3am, and so the partying weekend began.
Saturday was a friend's 21st birthday. I woke up really late so I thought I wouldn't make it since NZ busses are as rare as kiwi birds over the weekend. Luckily, a bus driver going to her district said he could give me a ride to her place when we reach the final stop, so I managed to get to her place with minimal walking! #happylazydays
Out of the half dozen things I wanted to do last week, I only managed to finish two, however the circle lens reviews I have taken photos for, so hopefully I can finish those through the week. I am also opening new lenses this week to use over the next 6 months! I love opening new lenses~~ >w<
Next weekend will be quite exciting. I have two photoshoots coming up, one for PretzelPOP (put together by Babycakesland), and one for Confetti so I'm really looking forward to working on those! Some other pretty pressing work has come up, but...I don't know how I'm going to fit those in at this point in time. Hopefully I will get those done early next month? ><;
Also, my clothes should be coming in the first half of next month!! I know it's pretty far off, but I'm just so excited I have to keep checking and looking at all the things I got LOL!! >0< OK I'll stop now. and just squeal in my own head and not spam everyone's fb newsfeed and other feeds with my excitement. ;w;

Back at the launch of Confetti, Dr. Hauschka was kind enough to send us a range of skin care products to try out! It was more or less the same range of products that were in the giant Dr. Hauschka prize pack in our launch giveaway.
Because it is a complete set of skin care products, this is going to be a very very long skin care review.
In this review, the following products will be covered from the start of the skin care routine to the end:
- Cleansing Milk (Lait de Toilette)
- Cleansing Cream (Creme Purifiante)
- Facial Toner (Lotion Tonifiante)
- Rose Day Cream Light (Creme Legere de Rose)
- Melissa Day Cream (Creme de Jour a la Melisse)
- Rejuvenating Mask (Masque Revitalisant)
- Cleansing Clay Mask
- Pure Care Cover Stick – 02
At the end of the post is a list of the products again, but in the order I rated everything from most to least liked

Tonight I went across town (Ellerslie -> Forrest Hill) which is like an hour drive, to have dinner with my high school friends!
The host today held a dinner event before, but i missed that one. I think I was in Canada? Anyway, everyone said her cooking is AH-MAZING so we kept pestering her to hold another eveent, and today it finally happened!!
There were several friends I haven't seen in many months, and some that I spent New Years eve playing drinking games with. We rarely get to meet up during the study semester since everyone is doing different degrees, and are super busy *ahem procrastinating* so we try to make the most of summer vacation!
Our lovely host made many Taiwanese based dishes, but she put a spin on everything and it was super nice! I got to deep fry the chicken, and the parsley, garlic, and apparently ginger too (I don't eat ginger) were so good! We agreed that next time, half the deep frying will be of parsley LOL
The Feast |
We only had 9 people, but there was so much food!! Thankfully there wasn't much left over, though our host is now sorted for sugary drinks and snacks for the next fortnight hehe~ (she told us not to bring food, so we ended up having a huge variety of drinks to choose from)
We also had really nice 'tofu tiramisu' omg. First time in my life I felt healthy eating a dessert!! It was made with the soft jelly tofu blended instead of using mascarpone, and it tasted really good!! It is of course a tiny bit firmer than a cheese/egg mix, but the flavour and texture (on the most part) were not compromised in the least. I will hopefully be half-trying it this weekend as I still have a sachet of mascarpone in the fridge ><;
This weekend, I aim to upload at least 1 review on Confetti, which of course I will link from here too. If I slack off now I bet there will be nothing done when uni starts! Not to mention... I miss putting on gyaru makeup!
Also, extra goal this year:
Up my sujimori game! |

edit: the post for this shoot is now on Confetti! Read it here!
The day before yesterday I decided that in honor of the new year, I must have a photoshoot to change out my profile photos!
But come yesterday, I had no motivation after crawling out of bed at midday, and proceeded to spend the next 5 hours online looking for blog posts, images, videos, ANYTHING of people's lucky bags this year.
I really want to know all the prints that were available in this year's meta bag!! and I want to know what's in my D.I.A fukubukuro, but I must be patient for that ><
Anyway, so I finally started preparing for my shoot just before dinner, and a kind friend came by and lent me his tripod. My tripod is super noob, the head can't rotate so if I use it for my camera it's suuuper inconvenient. Plus I only have one tripod so it's like- how do I share it between my ring light and my camera? lol. The life of a blogger eh ^^;
Thanks to the second tripod, I had a pretty good setup last night:
I've now started looking through the images from the shoot (yay!) so here is a preview for the meantime:
Sorry about mini photo, need it resized and online for something ~.~
I looked for inspiration on pinterest two nights ago, but on the day I just didn't feel like going with any of them, so i sorta just started doing my makeup... then found this old dress from year 13 (senior) ball... and then chose my wig, and everything else followed from there xD
It was a lot of fun playing around with my makeup as I hadn't really touched them since...since my last photoshoot with Ken Bufton? That was back in early December! I really wanted to use the ready made bling stickers because it would save me so much trouble, but I have no idea where I've put them...
Hopefully I didn't lose them? lol that would be awkward.
Looking at the photos now, it seems a bit Luka (vocaloid) inspired? I sent one of the photos to Tenshi-nee as preview, and she said it reminds her of Just Be Friends haha. It would be fun to cos Luka someday!
Personally, for Luka I like the PV for Answer most~ Plus the "singing" is much better mixed and sounds more natural.
Okok, back to editing and stalking LPs!!

I'll start with the presents-
So for my birthday which was on Dec 5, my wifey and Tenshi-neechan decided to buy me presents from Japan. They understand me so well! :')
So I don't know the details of my presents yet, but I do know there is a Metamorphose Lucky Pack (either light or dark. They wouldn't tell me)!
This is what is released on Meta's site
My wifey has hinted that my set is very matching, which is a big phew, but I'm really curious what the skirt print is!? I really hope its the rose one on top! Love roses so much >w<
However she has also hinted that the prints are very different from the images....so it's very likely my print is not on the website @_@ I'm happy that it will be a new print, but also anxious since I have no idea what it's like!! ><
But really, when it's Metamorphose, I bet all of them look great ❤
In preparation, I am ordering some lolita shoes (finally) from taobao. They're gonna be a horror to ship but I cannot taint a Meta outfit with non-lolita shoes! ><
Also, wifey has said that Tenshi-nee will come with the first half of my presents so I guess I get other stuff too!? I feel so spoilt!!! eep!!
Today, being the 2nd of Jan is the big fukubukuro grab!
I am super super thankful that セーラ (link to her instagram) of my gyarusa (Hana Emi Dolls) happens to be going for the notoriously difficult to obtain D.I.A fukubag this year and is grabbing me one too!
Success! I screamed when I saw this photo ><!! |
This is the ad on d.i.a spec's facebook page |
I kid you not, I spent the whole morning blogging, but actually I was stalking fb to see if セーラ succeeded ><;
I owe her big time! Esp since she had to drag herself out of bed at 3am for the fukubukuros! ><
Japanese gyarus are so crazy lol, I don't think NZ people would do stuff like that if we had fukubukuro.
Though granted, Black Friday in the states is pretty insane too...
Anyway, I will know if she manages to snag Ma*rs items and the D.I.A belt I wanted tonight, but she's still shopping right now. I was just too excited and had to post this first hahaha
This will be the year. I will stock up my wardrobe with brand gyaru and lolita, and next year I will travel to Japan and return all the favors!
SO DAMN EXCITED!!!

Late last year, I had the privilege of modelling for the portfolio of a professional photographer- Ken Bufton.
It was the first time I had modelled for an industry professional and veteran, so I was really excited for the experience!!
Truthfully, I was very worried beforehand about messing up, or being too slow, or doing something wrong. And in fact I did forget to bring a petticoat for my lolita inspired outfit on the day…
But somehow the photos of that outfit look better than they probably would have if I did have the petticoat, so I was very relieved ^^;
I also had no blouse that I could fit at the time. Tenshi-nee and wifey made me a blouse to go with the pink sakura skirt (both made from scratch!), but I’m now too fat to fit it LOL.
Tangent: there is, however, a blouse in the Metamorphose Lucky Bag they bought for my birthday in Dec though! Hopefully I can fit that one! ><
Back to the shoot-
For the photoshoot, I did my hair (lol, straightened it. Wish I used a wig instead), and makeup, and Ken was the photographer. It was easier than I thought to work without an assistant!
We took the photos at Auckland Domain. It was just the middle of spring, so all the flowers were blooming and the weather was wonderful!
As it is NZ though, we did have a couple minutes of rain. But it was over pretty quick ^^
These are my favourite snaps from the day (no photoshopping by me, since I’m mega chubby on Ken’s website anyway T_T)-
My #1 favourite ❤

Hiya!
Today I am posting the long-awaited GEO eyescream review! This series consist of (brown)Chocomousse, (hazel) Vanilla Brown, and (gray) Rayray Gray lenses.
The lenses were sent to us by GEO coloured lenses in October *last year* during exam period, so we never got around to doing a full photoshoot for them ><
We considered leaving this review until Cora got back from Europe so that we could do a full shoot, but it’s just too far off ><
So yup, this review is just going to come from visually impaired me today!
GEO Eyes Cream series yay! Bottles are so kawaii~~
TBH when I first heard about these lenses, i expected some dreamy swirly super big and dolly lenses. And when I got the lenses, my first thought was “oh wow, they’re actually really natural…*insert disappointment*”
It’s actually been quite a while since i really splurged on GEO lenses, since I’ve been really after the OTT colors and super large lenses that don’t look natural at all. It’s actually quite nice to try these for a change!

I usually make 3 resolutions, so that if I break one then at least I haven’t broken everything for the whole year lol.
But through the past year, I’ve come to realise that you don’t get nearly as much out of the experience, if you don’t put as much on the line.
So this year, I will just have one new year’s resolution:
be more thoughtful, and speak my mind
Sometimes, I think it’s easier to leave things unsaid. But oftentimes, because of the things unsaid, myself, or someone else is misunderstood. I want to try giving the choice to other people to decide what they want to do with the knowledge of something, rather than withholding it from them, and essentially deciding for them.
And yes i cheated by putting two resolutions into one lol.

Continuing on my Christmas story of this year…
On the 23rd when we went to Honeysuckle Lane, I only had my phone to take photos with.
My mom was not satisfied with the phone camera quality. She HAD to take a proper photo with the blown up Santa this year or else-…
So today after a nice dinner with some family friends, we sped out the door to view more lights. Can I just say… lol.
First we went to the church nearby- Northcross church started doing a little drive through Bethlehem town dress-up last year, and this year it was super busy!
It’s really nice to see people getting into the xmas spirit and light-viewing at 10pm, but I’m really hoing they’ll make it ‘walk-in only’ next year. Not only was the traffic horrible, and I couldn’t take proper photos, but all those cars just crawling slowly is really bad for the environment!!
Anyway, here are a few photos from Northcross’ Bethlehem:

So last night, my mom was super motivated to go out (instead of staying home watching the telly drinking wine), so we decided to go for a walk down my wifey’s road (Honeysuckle Lane) to see their Christmas lights.
Honeysuckle Lane is pretty well known on the shore for being the most cheerfully decorated road during xmas, but this year several households seem to have withdrawn from the annual tradition :/
I kinda miss the house that used to even open their garage to display some religious scenes :’(
So my mom and I went to Honeysuckle, decided after a short walk that it wasn’t quite festive enough.
So we drove back home, put on makeup, did our hair, changed clothes, got all dolled up and went to THE best xmas deco-ed street in Auckland, if not the whole of New Zealand- Franklin Road, Ponsonby.
Christmas lights galore ❤❤❤

Today (better be) a post spam, to catch up on at least some of the backlogged posts this year!!
I’d feel so bad if I let them run into the new year lol…
Anyway, my birthday was on the 5th, so I had a little dinner in Nov to celebrate with my friends that were going overseas. This bigger 21st party, I decided to hold with two high school friends ( P & T as captioned in the photos) since we’re all born in December and our friend circles are like, 90% the same lol #antisocialme
We had a simple barbeque in my back yard, and it was all just very chill *thank goodness*
The decoration was (truthfully) pretty last minute, but I think it looked really good with all the colors and stuff hehe. Super happy with a childish and playfully decorated 21st birthday ❤
We decided not to get catering, and made everything ourselves :3
Big thank you to all our friends that helped out on the day! And also E for the photos! ❤❤❤
Here are some photos from the day!
